Dungeness Crab

Wild caught Dungeness Crab are caught using Dungeness Crab Pots and brought in live to our plant. All crab must meet minimum specifications of larger than 6 ¼” and male. Dungeness Crab are caught in the Pacific Ocean from Southern California to Alaska anywhere from shore to 100 fathoms out. Our plant offers both live and processed Dungeness Crab for distribution.

Pacific Pink Shrimp

Pacific Pink Shrimp are wild caught using net-drag fishing methods. Our size requirements for purchase are 160 whole round shrimp per pound. These shrimp are collected from the cold blue waters of the North Pacific, from California to British Columbia, Canada.

Salmon

We process many different species of Salmon; some are ocean caught, some estuary. All are wild caught. Some of the species that we collect are: King Salmon, Chinook Salmon (King Salmon), Columbia River Salmon (Blueback Salmon), Keta Salmon, and Silver Salmon (Coho Salmon). Ocean dwelling species are troll caught from California to Alaska, while estuary dwelling are caught using gill nets in the Columbia River, Puget Sound and Klamath River.

Pacific Whiting

Pacific Whiting is caught wild from the Pacific Ocean using drag fishing methods. We process this fish and sell it 3 ways: fillet, H&G (headed and gutted) or HGT (headed, gutted and tailed).

Pacific Sardines

Seasons close after the required amount of tonnage is reached; allowing the species to repopulate. The last season is an incidental catch to propagate the squid fishery, no sales are made during this catch. This species is also wild caught.

Albacore Tuna

This fish is caught from the South Pacific to the North, mainly from off the shore of California to British Columbia. We buy fish 9lbs and up off of US and Canadian boats.

Pacific Mackerel

This fish is mainly incidentally caught during sardine fishing. Some years we may not see any, but when we get enough, we sell it in Frozen Whole Rounds.

Pacific Halibut

Pacific Halibut is wild caught off the Washington and Oregon coasts. This fish is brought in cleaned with the head on, and sold cleaned with the head off.

Bottom Fish

We get some Black Cod, Rock Fish, and Hag Fish during the summer months. Some species are sold live, some whole round and others IQF J-cut.

The seasons for most of the fisheries are dictated by Fisheries Management on a year by year basis, but generally run along these time frames.
